Dunning Vineyards is small family owned and operated winery
producing limited production, award wining Artisan wines from their
secluded mountainous vineyards.
Located on the Westside of Paso Robles. Winemakers/Proprietors Bob & Jo-Ann Dunning’s vision to produce world class, hand crafted wines began in 1991. The vineyard planting consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Zinfandel and in 2012 the addition of Pinot Noir. The high 1400+ foot elevations of the vineyards along with soils that are lean, calcareous rock creates the ideal conditions for producing low yield vines. The warm summer days of Paso Robles, along with the afternoon cooling effect of the nearby Pacific Ocean allow for a longer growing season and add intensity and concentration to the fruit. Viticulture practices includes sustainable farming techniques and a hands on approach to the vineyards to assure overall balance in the vines!

Dunning Vineyards traditional winemaking includes using small
lot fermentation, gentle handle punching of the red
"must" and barrel
fermentation of the whites both using French oak barrels.
“Our focus is
to produce wines that express the flavors of the vineyards, the
terroir”, says Winemaker Bob Dunning. These techniques result
in wines
that are incredibly rich, concentrated and elegant!
